These weekly crime reports are compiled from the public information section of crime reports filed by the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD). Offenses listed do not reflect subsequent charges or that charges were filed. Names have been withheld in most cases, unless charges have been verified.
In these emailed reports, public information is truncated for space; for some crimes, further information will be investigated.

student reported loosing his wallet in either L136 or the lower level restroom. Student later returned to look for it. Student checked L136, restroom and two lost & found locations with no result. No suspect(s)

VICTIM STATES SHE PARKED HER NEW BICYCLE IN THE BIKE RACKS IN FRONT OF FOLWELL HALL BEFORE CLASS USING A CABLE LOCK. SHE STATED HER BICYCLE WAS GONE WHEN SHE RETURNED AFTER CLASS ALONG WITH TWO OTHER BICYCLES.

Def[endant] arrested after offering sex for money to an undercover officer. Narcotics and a handgun were also recovered.
Arrested: 27-year-old female Naomi Burris, 2104 22 Ave. S. As of 6/5/2009, defendant was in custody at Hennepin County Jail, charged with two felony counts by MN Department of Corrections, specific offenses not listed. MN DOC website lists defendant as “Fugitive Apprehend” following 3/3/2009 release from prison; admitted 5/21/2009.

Victim was robbed at gunpoint while walking to her vehicle in front of the above address. The victim was not injured and refused ambulance. The victim reported a loss of $175 cash. The victim was unable to give a suspect description.

Suspect demanded bike from victim and when victim refused suspect physically took the bike from victim. S1 AND V1 know each other from school.

Victim stated that the suspect struck him in the head with beer bottle and then took money out of the victim’s front pants pocket. Victim was transported to HCMC. Officers checked the area for suspect.
