Public meeting on changes to regulatory review in University area

The University District Partnership Alliance Zoning and Planning Regulatory Review Task Force is holding a public meeting to present recommendations of a community task force to change ordinances, regulations, and activities impacting livability in the University District Area — the neighborhoods of Marcy-Holmes, Prospect Park, Southeast Como, University and Cedar-Riverside. Concerns include parking, occupancy, design standards, zoning, inspections, and public involvement in the development review process.

Downtown riverfront
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and Riverfront District present entertainment, children’s activities, summer foods and a fireworks show concluding at 10 p.m. New this year, street performers or “buskers” are encouraged to submit an application to perform in front of thousands of visitors along the riverfront before the fireworks.
