Take a whirl through Bridgeland galleries, May 15–17

The Soap Factory will kick off its corner of Art-A-Whirl weekend with a reception for the 2009 Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition (a collaboration with MCAD and Soo Visual Arts) on Friday, May 15. Annual Northeast art crawl includes Bridgeland, Southeast spots

Art studios and galleries will open their doors to visitors for the annual Art-A-Whirl May 15–17. More than 500 artists will display their work in warehouses, galleries, homes, storefronts and cafés of the Northeast community and beyond. Art will include paintings, music, photography, glass blowing, pottery and textile designs.

Official Art-A-Whirl hours are Friday, May 15, 5–10 p.m.; Saturday, May 16, noon–8 p.m.; Sunday, May 17, noon–5 p.m. For more information, visit www.nemaa.org.
